Its members are the entertainers, servers, performers, and artisans who give the family its polished appearance. They host, charm, and captivate... running the teahouse, the stage, and the spectacle while in the shadows remains our enforcers and debt collectors.

  The Supernatural in Shoku  
Behind the masks, beneath the stage lights of The Yozakura Palace, not everything is as it seems. Whispers circulate that some of our kabuki performers and geishas are more than human...Yokai whose presence lends the Palace its uncanny beauty and otherworldly charm. The truth of these rumors is left unspoken and never confirmed. Only leaving a tantalizing trace of the supernatural in the air.

  While the family embraces   the diversity of its members, new supernatural beings are rarely accepted, and only on a case-by-case basis with a solid, compelling reason. Their inclusion depends entirely on trust, respect for the family, and the assurance that their presence will not endanger our world or our secrets.

  YOKAI ARE SUBJECT   to a stricter set of rules than mortal members of the family if accepted. These rules are non-negotiable and enforced with the same severity as the family code if not stricter.

  Secrecy Is Survival   Yokai, should they be among us, are bound to maintain their veil at all times. Their nature must remain rumor and speculation to outsiders, ensuring the Palace’s allure remains intact and avoiding unwanted attention or hostility.🌸Veil Violations: Any act that draws unnecessary attention to supernatural abilities or origins, public displays, revealing true forms, or speaking openly of one’s nature, is forbidden.

  Family First, Always   All members, mortal or otherwise, are bound by the family code, but yokai are held to additional standards:🌸 No Harm to the Family: Supernatural members may never feed on or endanger the family to sustain their powers.
🌸Defend the Family: Abilities must be used to protect and support, not exploit or threaten.

  Balance Over Excess   Yokai walk a fine line between beauty and danger. Any supernatural instincts or hungers must be carefully managed, with regular checks to ensure control and discretion:
🌸Discreet Needs: If a yokai requires feeding or channeling energy, it must be done quietly, away from family and outsiders, with careful attention to avoid suspicion.
🌸Purposeful Power: Abilities are to be wielded deliberately, never recklessly.

  Respect the Mortal Code   Even beyond mortal life, all yokai remain subject to the family’s laws and hierarchy. Loyalty to the Oyabun, the Kyodai, and the Nisshoku-Gumi is absolute. Betrayal, defiance, or dishonor will be treated with the same severity as any mortal member.
