  The Supernatural in Shoku   In the shadowed temple of the Nisshoku-Gumi, not all who walk beside us are mortal. We open our doors to the extraordinary; Yokai. Beings touched by the mystical, born of the arcane and shaped by myth. Creatures of legend and folklore too find a home within Shoku, though their acceptance comes with strict oversight.

  While we embrace   the diversity of our family, some beings are too dangerous to trust within our walls. Voidsent, twisted by their hunger and bound to the Void, are strictly forbidden. For Yokai and other supernatural beings, inclusion is not guaranteed, but granted on a case-by-case basis, where trust, control, and respect for the family take precedence.

  YOKAI ARE SUBJECT   to a stricter set of rules than mortal members of the family if accepted. These rules are non-negotiable and enforced with the same severity as the family code if not stricter.

  Secrecy Is Survival   Yokai are required to maintain their veil at all times when among outsiders. The existence of Yokai must remain a secret to avoid unwanted attention or hostility. Any act that risks revealing the supernatural nature of our members will be met with severe consequences.
🌸Veil Violations: Drawing unnecessary attention to your nature is forbidden. This includes public displays of your powers, revealing your true form, or openly discussing your origins with outsiders.

  Family First, Always   The family is your lifeline, your haven, and your duty. Yokai are bound by the same code as mortal members of the Nisshoku-Gumi, but with additional stipulations:
🌸No Feeding on Family: Under no circumstances are Yokai allowed to feed on or harm other members of the family to sustain their powers. Violations of this rule will result in expulsion or worse.
🌸Protection of the Family: You are expected to use your abilities to defend the family, not exploit or endanger it.

  Balance Over Excess   Yokai often walk a fine line between power and control. Members are required to ensure that their supernatural instincts and aetherial hungers are managed. This includes regular Fuji-Sora checkups:
🌸Feeding Restrictions: Feeding, if required for your survival, must be discreet and outside of family territory. Targets must be chosen with care to avoid attracting suspicion.
🌸Control of Powers: Use of supernatural abilities must be deliberate and purposeful, with no room for recklessness.

  Respect the Mortal Code   While you may walk beyond mortal life, you are still beholden to the family’s laws. Yokai are expected to show absolute loyalty to the Oyabun, the Kyodai, and the family as a whole. Defiance, betrayal, or dishonor will be treated with the same severity as for any other member.

  Your acceptance is not a given but a privilege,   and it comes with a solemn understanding:
“Power must be tempered with loyalty. Secrets must be guarded with blood. To be family is to be bound by honor, no matter what lies beneath the mask.”
